For a long time, my mornings were a blur of chaos. Shoes to find, bags to pack, little hands tugging on me before I’d even had a sip of tea. Underneath it all was this ache to feel grounded, to breathe, to not lose myself in the noise.
I used to think peace needed perfect conditions. Early mornings. A tidy home. A clear head. But chasing that kind of perfection just left me feeling like I was falling short.
What I’ve learned is that God’s presence isn’t waiting for everything to be calm. He meets us right in the middle of it all. In the five stolen minutes while the kettle boils. In the breath you take between “Mum?” and “just a second.”
One of my favourite rituals began there — a quiet prayer with that first sip of tea, a moment to remember I’m not starting the day alone. It sounds small, but it’s changed how my mornings feel.
That’s where LaurelFaith began. Out of a longing to find something sacred in the ordinary.
This space is for women like me, and maybe like you. Mums, dreamers, believers, creatives. All of us trying to juggle the beautiful mess of life while still wanting more peace, purpose, and presence.
Here you’ll find gentle tools and reminders that you don’t have to change who you are to meet God where you are. You don’t need a perfect morning to be faithful. You just need a pause, a breath, and the grace to begin again.
With love,
Lauren x
